LABOUR'S GREEDY LOT ARE PROOF SOCIALISM DOESN'T WORK

Thursday May 15,2008

Labour's greedy lot are proof socialism doesn't work

Campbell rushed out a book exposing the Government

FOR anyone out there who still supports New Labour I have a question: how can you defend the literary "dash for cash" of almost everyone who was involved with the "project"?

Alastair Campbell, Cherie Blair, Lord Levy, John Prescott, Geoffrey Robinson; all rushed out books containing embarrassing details about the Government. They have all made hundreds of thousands of pounds for themselves as a result.

Now, I may have got this wrong, but wasn't socialism supposed to be about laying aside individual greed and working for the common good?

The fact that so many senior Labour figures (and let's not forget Tony Blair's dash for the lucrative lecture circuit) are so obviously in it for themselves just goes to show why socialism is always doomed to failure.

People are motivated by the desire to better for themselves and their families more than they are by a duty to some ill-defined wider society.

The fact that this applies even to the self-professed socialists who run the country underlines why capitalism is a superior and fairer system and always will be.

Capitalism recognises what really motivates people and, through the profit motive, harnesses it for the common good: Give other people what they want and they give you money, don't and you end up poor.

This is why capitalist countries always end up with higher living standards than socialist ones.  We should all look and learn from the greedy dash for cash of Cherie and the rest of them. They are living proof that any economic system which depends on altruism is bound to fail.

It follows that the condition of the nation will be best advanced by the election of a Government committed to low taxes and enforceable property rights, not one which taxes working people to the hilt and preserves an enormous welfare state to cossett those who cannot be bothered to be self-reliant.

By their behaviour and willingness to damage the standing of Gordon Brown's government (not that he needs any help) Cherie, Preza and the rest of the motley crew are showing that notions of the "common good" are not the main motivating factors in their lives.

They may have spent their lives spouting "Labour values", but when push comes to shove it is the quest to enrich themselves and their families which dictates their behaviour.

GREEDY SOCIALISTS - O'FLYNN HAS GOT IT RIGHT

23.05.2008, 1:25pm

There are many views on socialism but the main one is that it does not work because it is based on the theory that all people a equal in status and intelligence. The reality is that someone has to be in charge of people and others have to be in charge of them.. Therefore logic dictates that some people are more equal than others and they have people in charge of them too so where does equality begin. It is confusing to us and it must be baffling to the average Labour supporter.

The greed factor is something present in all of us but it is controlled by conventional views except in some cases where people have power over others and think that they can do as they like. (Does this Sound familiar? Are you beginning to get my drift ) This current government has got this off to perfection, believing we can be fooled by them all of the time as long as they can produce the spinners to hide the truth. We know your tactics Mr Brown:
U-TURN - SPIN - U - TURN - SPIN - U - TURN - SPIN. Where will it end ?

GUESS WHAT? FOOTNOTE:

For the last few weeks I have been posting comments very much in line with this blog. (what is a blog? It sounds like a story, I am just an old fashioned English fanatical thicko Who does understand ) I can and will expose a lot of the sly tricks that Labour has been up to since Blair came to power. These will be things that you may not be aware of. If anyone wishes to disagree with me let us, with the consent of the Express, get a debate going, that way we will get nearer the truth.

TOO MANY MP,S AT THE TROUGH

19.05.2008, 4:35pm

The government have been in power for far too long and all they are looking after are themselves.
The only areas of the electorate that can afford to vote labour are the long term unemployed.
They have ruined pensions (except theirs), employment prospects (hopefully theirs) and economic stability.
It is time the feeding troughs were removed and the government made to pay for their greed and mismanagement.
P.S. I am soon to retire after over forty years of hard labour and was intending to vote labour for a change, but being a white old age pensioner with a very small pension I still can’t afford their policy’s!

This utterly corrupt bunch of traitors are intent upon totally soul-destroying what was once Great Britain, and everything that we hold dear.
What other nation would tolerate the systematic rape and betrayal of their country by greedy politicians only in it for the money.
Please log on to TPUC for what may well be our last bastion. You can make a difference !!!

Socialism. You have two cows. The government takes them from you and sells you milk.
Communism. You hve two cows. The government takes them from you and gives you milk.
Capitalism. you have two cows. You sell one and buy a bull.
Fascism. You have two cows. the government shoots you and takes the cows.
I don't know what the ISM is that we have got but....
You have two cows. The government kicks over the milk urn, shoots one of the cows, and lets the other one escape.

SOCIALISM?

16.05.2008, 12:39pm

gordon brown has spent the last decade making the UK very freindly to big business and global capital.

the current fluctuations of food, and the current banking crisis are classic examples of unfettered capitalism.

current immigration policies are aimed at economic growth and business productivity.

where, exactly, is the socialism here?

answer: new labour is not 'socialist' at all, and it is absurd to suggest that they are.
