The Rock said: "Great stuff here brother, perfectly articulated.

"Look forward to coming one day and breaking out the tequila with you."

In the video Joe stated that he supported Spotify's move to add disclaimers on controversial episodes and would make an effort to book guests with diverse opinions.

He has previously defended the "very highly credentialed, highly intelligent, very accomplished" guests Dr Peter McCullough and Dr Robert Malone.

However, Joe admitted that his show had become an "out of control juggernaut that I can barely have control of".

He continued: "I'm just a person who sits down with people and has conversations with them.

"Have I got things wrong before? Absolutely. But I try to correct things if I have done, because I am interested in telling the truth and finding out what the truth is.

"I am interested in having interesting conversations with people that have differing opinions. I am not interested in only talking to people that have one perspective."

Near the end of the video Joe made sure to make a vow to his audience, saying: "My pledge to you is that I will do my best to try to balance out these more controversial viewpoints with other people's perspectives so we can maybe find a better point of view.

"I don't want to just show the contrary opinion to what the narrative is.

"I want to show all kinds of opinions, so that we can all figure out what's going on—and not just about COVID, about everything.

"About health, about fitness wellness, the state of the world itself."

In the past Joe has received significant criticism for misinformation spread through his podcast surrounding coronavirus, and attracted controversy for suggesting the young and healthy should not get vaccinated.

He later retracted however when he said: "I'm not an anti-vax person."

The heavy criticism began after Joe interviewed Dr Robert Malone.

In the episode Malone claimed that the vaccines put people who have already had Covid-19 at a higher risk.

Malone also drew comparisons between the pandemic and the rise of Nazism in 1930s Germany, and has since been banned from Twitter over the spread of misinformation.
