Stacey Solomon admits to 'rocky' reality of blending families with Joe: 'Never been easy'

Stacey Solomon, 33, has opened up about how tough blending families with her husband Joe Swash has been for the newlyweds. The star, whose 33rd birthday is today, has admitted it is difficult to be a mother and stepmother, which may surprise some fans, due to her picture perfect family Instagram updates from Pickle Cottage.

The Loose Women presenter has said it takes a lot of hard work to navigate the "rocky road" of combining families.
Stacey and Joe have suffered two tragic miscarriages in the past, before welcoming their second child Rose in October 2021.
The presenter is also mother to Rex, who she shares with Joe.
Before meeting Joe, Stacey gave birth to Leighton, nine, and Zachary, 13, from previous relationships.

Joe himself shares his eldest child Harry, 13, with ex Emma Sophocleus.
The former couple split up shortly after Harry's birth.
On the Parenting Hell podcast with comedians Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe, she opened up about the realities of family life at home in Essex.
It comes just two months after the couple tied the knot in the garden of Pickle Cottage.
"The blended family situation has been a rocky road,' the mum-of-four admitted.
"That has never been easy.
"We have always had to work really hard to make sure everyone feels secure."
She said she felt reassured about the blended family dynamic at her recent wedding, when kind words from her sons' speeches left her in tears.

In August, Stacey wrote how her family's speeches were "everything".
She added she couldn't get over how "kind, mature and caring" the speeches were.
"We love you all so much, more than you’ll ever know. To the moon and back forever boys [black love-heart emojis] @realjoeswashy."
In full view of her 5.4 million followers, she had shared a short clip from the wedding of her first dance with Joe.
Stacey's fan went wild at the clips and shared their thoughts in the comments.
