Stacey Solomon's gown ruined at red carpet event by Joe Swash after wardrobe malfunction
Stacey Solomon's accident-prone husband Joe Swash nearly wrecked her wardrobe choice on what might have been one of the biggest nights of her career.
Stacey Solomon scooped a trophy at last night's Royal Television Society (RTS) Awards as her hit BBC show Sort Your Life Out was crowned the Best Popular Factual Show of the year - but she didn't bargain for her husband's clumsy footing - or for his unzipped flies. Sharing the first of several candid photos from behind the scenes on the night, Joe Swash admitted her glitzy gown - which transformed her into a cross between a Disney princess and a Hollywood goddess - had become soiled, thanks to him.
The hapless ex-Eastenders star joked: "I had one job last night, and that was not to step on the back of @staceysolomon dress." Muddy black stains ended up splattered across the lower few inches of the floor-skimming gown - and the wardrobe mishap could have caused a heart-stoppingly tense moment for the former X Factor star.
However, when it came time for her red carpet photo call, the marks were mercifully no longer visible. Joe didn't elaborate on the last-minute quick fix that was used, but merely described her as "looking like a Hollywood film star" as he proudly shared video footage from the night.
Besides that, Joe also suffered an embarrassing blunder of his own when his flies were visibly bursting open in one of the photos. "Love this photo of me and @staceysolomon apart from the fact that if you look closely, I'm flying low!" he captioned his photo.
He also captured his wife's shocked face when she discovered her award winner status, at the plush Grosvenor House Hotel in London. She'd fashioned her long blonde locks into loose waves, while her satin strapless dress fit her like a glove.

Joe - who had multiple mishaps during his Dancing On Ice run back in 2020 and even landed himself in hospital on two occasions - is known for being occasionally accident prone.
He's also unafraid of getting dirty, which Stacey was relieved about when she put him on toilet-emptying duties during one caravan holiday - but that didn't translate well to their big night on the red carpet.
She didn't seem to have harboured any hard feelings towards him for nearly wrecking her glam moment, as she grinned contentedly when he planted a kiss on her cheek after the award presentation.
Also publishing that snap online, he lovingly captioned it: "Proud of you. Always."
Meanwhile, over on the Twitter account of the RTS Awards, Stacey gave thanks to her team at Sort Your Life Out, saying that they "always have my back forever".
"I am not joking when I say the crew work hours and hours and hours meticulously putting everything into what you see," she declared.

"All the satisfying sections, that's down to our crew, and I love them so much!"
She'd previously told her Instagram followers that she'd kept her nomination secret until the night of the event as she'd been convinced she wouldn't win anything.
"I can't even tell you how bloomin' proud I feel to even be considered for such a prestigious award!" she exclaimed at the time.
"No matter what, just being in the running is a real honour and I'm so proud of my whole SYLO family & so proud of us all & our hard work."
