James Jordan asked if another woman was available because his wife Ola was no good at ironing his clothes.

The former Strictly Come Dancing star, who tied the knot with the professional dancer in 2003, made an online post today (April 20) on X which sparked backlash.

The 41-year-old joked: "Hi guys. Anyone know a decent ironing lady in the West Malling area - as my wife is s**t at it."

The tweet sparked a reaction as his 364,000 followers reacted to his comments sparking a huge divide.

One person wrote: "Try being an ironing man." Another questioned: "Why does it have to be an ironing ‘lady’ lol. And you can’t iron yourself because?."(sic)

A third penned: "I hope Ola doesn't see that!" While another commented: "Lol can't believe you just said that."

A fifth chimed: "Good girl Ola!"

"With the other posters here, off you go James, the iron is in the cupboard," another remarked.

A seventh person suggested: "Buy a clothes steamer," while another agreed: "Really! Have you ever tried ironing yourself?"

Others came to James' defence as one said: "People really don’t get your sense of humour, do they?"

"That made me laugh although I see some people don’t ’get’ you, well I do," a second person added.

The Strictly pair, who first met when Ola was 18 and James 21, recently opened up about their relationship in candid interview after 24 years of marriage.

Ola opened up about their life together as she admitted to HELLO!: "I wake up in the morning and I breathe the wrong way, I walk the wrong way, I do the coffee wrong…"

She shared "It can be stressful but said, "we love each other dearly".

James added: "We've got a beautiful daughter and as my dad always used to say, and it's true, 'Marriage can be like a job sometimes, you've got to work at it.'"
