Tom Cruise unwittingly stepped into the midst of David Beckham's ongoing tiff with Mark Wahlberg, as he attended Victoria Beckham's glitzy 50th birthday celebration.

The Mission: Impossible star was seen pulling off an impressive splits on the dance floor, much to the delight of fellow party-goers on Saturday night.

Yet, unbeknownst to Tom, aged 61, his presence at the event reignited the dormant feud with Mark online, with accusations flying that Tom was picking sides by showing up for David.

A 2013 video clip resurfaced amidst the birthday festivities, showcased Mark's disdain for comments made by the Top Gun actor, where Tom likened the intensity of acting to military service.

In the contentious clip, Tom remarked: "That's what it feels like and certainly on this last movie, it was brutal. it was brutal."

Inside Mark Walhberg and Tom Cruise' spat

Mark Wahlberg, known for his role in Transformers, expressed outrage at the comparison during a Q&A session prior to a screening of Lone Survivor, a film in which he portrays a Navy SEAL.

His blunt response to actors equating their training to that of the military was clear: "For actors to sit there and talk about, 'Oh, I went to SEAL training' - I don't give a f**k about what you did."

"You don't do what these guys do. You just don't. For somebody to sit there and say my job was as difficult as being in the military. How f**king dare you, while you sit in a makeup chair for two hours. I don't give a s**t if you're getting your a** busted. You get to go home at the end of the day. You get to go to your hotel room. You get to order f**king chicken or steak, whatever the f**k is."

In the middle of this fiery declaration at the Q&A session, Mark asked the moderator to not throw any more questions his way until his anger subsided. He promptly apologised for "losing his s**t."

Yet, he later clarified that there's no bad blood between him and Tom, stating it all might be a misunderstanding.

Speaking to TMZ, he shared: "I didn't know that it was Tom Cruise that said that. Somebody just mentioned that people are [making that comparison]. I love Tom Cruise.

"I have much respect for Tom Cruise, but I have just as much respect for military guys, so it's just unfair for anybody to comment on that."

The ongoing legal wrangle involving David Beckham and Mark Wahlberg

David Beckham has reportedly launched legal action against Hollywood star Mark Wahlberg over a fitness brand deal that allegedly cost him £8.5million.

The football legend's company, DB Ventures Ltd, had partnered with gym group F45 and Wahlberg, agreeing to serve as the firm's global ambassador.

The pair had become friends after Beckham and his wife Victoria relocated to LA in 2007, residing in the same Beverly Hills neighbourhood. However, Beckham is now reportedly alleging that he was "duped" by the actor.

The Sun reports that Beckham claims he was promised stocks by F45 and Wahlberg's company, but these were withheld until after share prices fell, purportedly resulting in a loss of £8.5m for him.

Consequently, the father of four has initiated legal proceedings against Wahlberg's company, Mark Wahlberg Investment Group [MWIG], and F45 founders Adam Gilchrist and Rob Deutsch.

In response to Beckham's allegations, Wahlberg and the owners of F45 have denied any "fraudulent conduct", requesting the judge to dismiss the lawsuit. They also suggest that Beckham's company is blaming everyone else for their own mistakes.

The publication further reveals that documents related to the case describe the "209 page, 610 paragraph SAC [complaint] tries to makeup with length what it lacks in merit."
