Was Blair right to hide his fatih?

Published: Sunday December 2,2007 by 2345

His long term in office was based on spin which earned him the nickname "Bliar".

Actions speak louder than words - the Christian teaching of "Love thy enemies ........ " was clearly not his thinking when he invaded Iraq for no good reason other than appease Mr Bush
The spin and furore over WMD caused the untimely death of a highly respected scientist, Dr Kelly, in mysterious ? murder circumstances.

No, Mr Blair was not guided by Christian teachings or faith - "loving thy neighbour and turning the other cheek ..... " is righteousness, the way to live for our own good. Hatred and fear breeds hatred and fear - the opposite of "faith" - faith in goodness.

It's more "spin" - he's trying to convince us all his actions were by divine guidance, He's trying to whitewash "wrongdoings" for his own good. Iraq was an unnecessary conflict - an ill considered disaster causing loss of life to innocent civilians as well as soldiers. Blair will be remembered for this above all else. To claim deep religious faith alongside such action is hypocrisy of the highest order. "A double minded man is unstable in all his ways ...."

True Christians practice as well as preach.
