Do MPs deserve their massive perks?

No, they don't deserve perks. They get paid a wage, and a pretty good one at that. There is no reason why they should not employ family - the job puts marriages under enough stress so it might keep couples together, and relatives can make good employees with less incentive to skive than strangers, but if employed they should do the job they are paid for.

Just doling out money without getting anything in return is not what the allowance is for. Most MPs understand that.
