In a few words: "Let us dare to read, think, speak and write" (the inspiring words of John Adams, 2nd President of the United States). I am inspired.

Farce Cyril? Do you have a limited vocabulary?

From what I read in the Daily Mail, it was something more than a farce, it was an outrageous display of heavy-handed police tactics towards Britons, and a sycophant protective guard for the bunch of Chinese thugs, goons, that were imported for the occasion, to present a solid phalanx around this so-called symbol of freedom, or whatever you want to call it.

The Chinese scored big time in propaganda over this. Who would believe it? A group of Chinese thugs sent to keep order on the streets of Britain, and a Chinese ambassador taking a devious route as far from the torch as she could manage to escape attention.

Whatever is Britain coming to? The world is agog. What next?

Shades of Tibet in England. I never thought I'd see the day.

Cyril, check the dictionary if you are at a loss for words, eh?
