Denied British citizenship for 30 years and rightly so

He lied on his immigration application. That's an action that would deny him U.S. citizenship also. And probably citizenship in France, Germany, and other countries too. Not only that, he bribed ministers in John Major's cabinet, then published their names when he was still denied the citizenship by Jack Straw. He brought down John Major's government.

He can give his entire fortune to charity for me, and apparently others in Britain, and he can buy all the castles and trappings that go with the image of the traditional English country gentleman, too, but his nefarious actions over his applicationwere what counted. Thirty years? Keep counting Mr. Al Fayed.
