you know, i would say this is likely the first conversation in a long time i have actually enjoyed on here. there is an actual exchange of ideas going on, and that is refreshing!
if what you say is true, then you two would seem to differ form the opinions of most on here, who continually denegrade 'the left' and 'socialism' and 'marxism' as the real problem with this country. so i think that we can separate you off from most of your peers on here.
if indeed, you both feel the need to go beyond left and right, and, abuela put it, because you feel those ideas are past thier prime, then i can actually see a point.
however, while we are putting old ideas in the dustbin of history as outdated, what about 'nationalism'? this is a two hundred year old idea, which, in an age of mobility, information technology, communication ect, seems quite out of date as well. especially given it's rather bloodthirsty history (two world wars, several genocides, ethnic cleansings, and smaller wars).
surely we can put 'nationalism' on the chopping block too?
