I have commented on this subject on other threads today. But I think the main bug bear at the moment is high fuel prices. Someone mentioned, "Why do we pay a tax on fuel anyway?" It made me think, yes, why do we. The population pays tax on everything directly and indirectly. Fuel is essestial for getting people to work so we can pay TAX. Fuel transports food and goods to the supermarket shelves and the high street stores for us to buy and pay VAT (Another tax) So fuel should be exempt from tax, 50p a litre would be enough, in my mind.
