Location:London, West, GB it's all going pearshaped for prudence

With the benefit of hindsight, the myth of him being a brilliant economist and superp chancellor is now on the scrapheap. In reality the "false boom" was down to the availabilty of credit, booming house prices and cheap Chinese goods. Nothing to do with his stewardship of the economy. During that time we were taxed to the hilt, and now he has nothing to show for it. He was an abysmal chancellor, and now he is an even worse PM.
