In a few words:

GORMLESS LACKS SUFFICIENT CONFIDENCE TO BE OUR PRIME MINISTER

Published: Tuesday May 13,2008 by Peter_Pan

I would like to make a couple more points on this question. Is Gordon Brown finished as Prime Minister?

1. There are many reasons why people are disgruntled with Gormless Mc Brown (i.e. he is Scottish, unelected, 10% tax, selling off gold, data protection fiasco, too many immigrants, wrecking our pensions, EU, “glum mouth” etc). However, these reasons all pale into insignificance when compared to his fraudulence in reneging on Labour’s solemn EU treaty manifesto commitment.

The EU treaty is too important to our long-term future, our sovereignty and our status as an independent nation to ignore.

Brown’s trickery was unforgiveable and large numbers of people are now eager to withhold their votes from both him and the Labour Party because of his betrayal and treachery.

2. How could anyone dispute that a referendum on the treaty would be the fairest and most democratic way to decide on what we do about the EU?

I happen to detest the EU Super State (and would vote against it), but I do recognise that some (unwise) people think it is good for us. Nevertheless, I do not think anyone could argue that the fairest and most democratic way to sort out this question for once and for all would be to have a free and fair democratic referendum.

Therefore, there is NO excuse for Gormless to refuse to give us the vote, (and I would even give it to the misguided few who actually like the EU).

So, in the words of Wendy Alexander, “bring it on”. Nevertheless, Gormless Mc Brown is still too frightened to do it. (Just like Brown is frightened to give the Scots a referendum on their own independence.) Therefore, he just seems frightened of his own shadow. Does Gormless not have any confidence at all in his own policies? Why does he always try to compel us to think and do as he tells us? Does he think he might actually be unable to persuade us into thinking like him? Is Gormless so frightened that he cannot persuade us and thinks his arguments are so poor that he cannot win a democratic vote on ANY subject in ANY referendum?

3. When Gormless refused to give us a referendum on the EU treaty, and when he refused to give the Scots an immediate referendum on independence, he signed his own death warrant. We will not be cowed. We will not respond to force. We will not vote for Gormless. We don’t like unelected dictators.

Therefore, to answer the question, yes, Brown is unquestionably finished as our (unelected) Prime Minister. He can't take the country with him.
