So this is the best a "SELECTED" judge and his colleagues can come up with in the best interests of the community. Perhaps at the next election we should look for a party that will make voting for judges part of their manifesto, and also at the same time insist the man on the street is part of these quango's that the great and the good seem to dominate at great cost to their public wage payers. Many judges, politicians, senior police officers and heads of public sevices seem to forget that they are there to serve and protect the public, so calling them to election on a regular basis will soon sharpen the minds. The next thing they will want to do is get rid of juries, even though when appeals go to the top there are more judges than jurors used in the original case to get a decision.
