What Happenned To Democracy??

I thought we lived in a democratic country?
Our goverment has bombed other countries in the name of freedom of speech and democracy and yet we are gagged in our own country.
It's about time government stopped feathering their own nests at our expense and set about the democratic task of hearing what the people want. After all we do pay enough for it? I have trouble enough paying my own mortgage. Why should I be expected to pay a towards an MP's second residence??
I am living in the real world. They at some point retire to the real world at my expense.
When fuel costs go up it does not change their lifestyle. It's crippling us?
