You cannot blame the motorists

Published: Thursday June 12,2008 by Zeigfreid

If the papers say "Don't panic", what do you think people will do? It's human nature to stock up on essentials if there is a risk of them running out. The car is not a luxury, it is an essential. It represents people's freedom. As I said before, it's all right if you live in the centre of London with all it's public transport but if you live a few miles out in the 'burbs or in the country, then you need a car.

Sack the tanker drivers who chose to strike and employ more willing drivers after all, it's hardly rocket science to drive a lorry and what are they on at the moment, over 30 grand? I wish I could earn that much! I would be on Cohibas at that wage instead of Henri Wintermans.
(No offence Henri but I do like a treat now and again)
