In a few words:

Lord Ashdown

Published: Monday June 16,2008 by Peter_Pan

Every time I see bgots like Lord Ashdown spouting away on the TV about how we MUST forge ahead with this unwanted project, they make me sick.

These people only represent their OWN personal views. They are NOT our views, they have NOT asked the country and if they only dared ask US they would be told in no uncertain terms that we do NOT want it.

Please note Lord Ashdown, there IS an alternative, and that is to ask for the democratic decision of the British people and then ACCEPT IT however much it may be different to your OWN PERSONAL opinion. One man, one vote remember. Not "one Ashdown, one vote" or "one Brown, one vote".

I can see no point in ratifying this treaty now. Three countries have voted againsyt it and so would Great Britain if given the chance. At the very best the House of Lords should put it on ice until there is, (however remotely), a realistic chance of it being UNANIMOUSLY ratified.
