Royal Family v United States of Europe

There has been in place for some time now a chinese whisper regarding the Royal Family.
Whilst I have to of course bow to the rights of individual opinion, I cannot help but wonder if this muttering and dumbing down is mainly due to the fact, that as is, Britain, its Royal Family
and Political setup will not sit as easy inside a European Superstate, than would a Republic.
Some members of the Royal Family have let themselves and the population down at times but as tradition dictates they have to live a life governed by what is right for the Country and that does not always coincide with pesonal wishes.
Charles, whilst always in love with Camilla, married the Beautiful Diana to do the right thing and produce an Heir, unfortunately Diana didn't marry for that reason, she was a beautiful girl, sadly missed by many.
Charles would if he hadent been gagged control and effect positivley a lot of aspects such as green issues, organic issues, architectual issues but is dumbed down on a regular basis by the press and so works away from the limelight.
I would not want to convert anyone as long as it is personal opinion and not part of a whispering campaign.
