CHRISTMAS LIGHTS?

Published: Thursday June 19,2008 by stevewo

It always surprises me how many of us will keep about 500 watts of christmas lights burning, 12 hours a night, for a month.
In the village where I live there's probably 50 thousand watts going up in smoke every December and January night.
I wonder what will happen this year, and I've often wondered what it will take to stop us burning all this festive juice.
Just 50 watts of outside lights could still be a nice festive sight for most folks.
