Your memory is not failing you. Harold Wilson held a referendum re a "Common Market" (economic community)

If you Google "1975 referendum pamphlet" you will find the actual leaflet issued to us at the time "Your Right to Choose".

You will see quite clearly that it mentiions NOTHING about a political union, a super-state, an EU PErsident, EU military, EU foreign minister and gives clear assurances about vetoes that we will be losing if Lisbon is ratified.

I hope as many people as possible actualy read this document and circulate it to their friends. It persuaded me to vote YES at the time but I bitterly regret it now. The Common Market was a trojan horse which has mutated beyond recognition.

We should leave.
