Well, they're hardly going to vote against them are they?

Name one other 'job' that exists in the UK today where you can vote for their own salary and perks. Where you get paid obscene amounts for doing virtually sod all. Where you are rewarded for failure. Where you get over twelve weeks paid holiday a year. Where you get free money for second and even third homes.

To my knowledge, there isn't one. Yes, our glorious leaders are onto a nice little earner. In any other job, the likes of Ed Balls, Harriet Harman, Hazel Blears etc, would have been out on their ears.

The problem is that MP's are self-regulating. They are answerable to nobody but themselves. The only people that can change this through legislation to bring about a more acceptable system are MP's, and they aren't going to do that are they?
