Can we call ourselves a democracy.

MPs aren't just going to let these expenses go without a fight. Some of them are probably financially dependent on this extra income as they've lived a life the can afford with it.
It doesn't surprise me that most of the labour MPs have voted against the ruling as they are probably thinking of how much money they can get before they're booted out of office.
As for the conservatives, that's a question that waits to be answered. I think that anyone in parliament who squanders the taxpayer's money to live the life of Riley should be prosecuted to the maximum extent of the law.
We as taxpayers aren't allowed to just write to the Inland Revenue and say that we need to claim X amount for expenses. They would just laugh at us and tell you get paying otherwise you'll be doing time at her majesty's pleasure.
What a country we live in today.
We must be the only people in the world that are supposed to live in a democratic country and yet are taxed like never before, having our tax money flaunted around and to top it all off, we can't even get the right to vote on policies concerning our nation and the EU.
Only the politicians have a true democratic vote and we're just here to pay them.
If i had the choice i would leave the UK tomorrow. I'm sick and tired of watching this country suffer because of our greedy, self serving, dictator like politicians. Our nation is covered in a blanket of greed and bureaucracy and at this moment in time, i don't believe it can be saved.
Goodbye Great Britain, from this day forward you shall only be called Britain.
