Hydrogen Power

Published: Sunday July 20,2008 by Tristram

Dear LibLabCon,

I heard about some chap that invented a car that could run on water using electrolysis to produce hydrogen but the oil companies bought his silence, when I was a schoolboy.

I thought at the time it was a myth; I still think so today. With today's technology and freedom of information, I still find it very hard to believe that such energy saving technologies remain a secret. It is a scientific fact that there is no such thing as perpetual motion; and although in this instance, a fuel is required, it seems far fetched.

Unlike fossil fuels, water is renewable because you can never deprive the world of one drop of water, unless, you bottle it and send it into outer space. You can change water into vapour but it still remains water in some form or another and can be changed back into water at any time. I therefore conclude that water cannot be converted into fuel as it goes against the laws of physics and the theory of perpetual motion.
