Yes, you could have a point but...

whenever there was a forum on fuel, a chap representing a company that produced hydrogen fuel cells used to advertise his product on here and was constantly removed because of the fact he was advertising. I logged onto his web site and although his theory seemed kosher enough by allowing an amount of hydrogen produced by electrolysis to be pumped into the cylinder at the time of combustion, the fuel economy figures seemed far fetched.

It seems illogical to me for a motor manufacturer to have access to such technology, to keep it to themselves. After all, if a car company could patent such technology for their products and give to the world a car that did twice or more as much to the gallon than it's competitors, then everyone would buy their vehicles.

Its not as if the world's oil is the domain of Texas oil barons anymore. The western world is at the mercy of the whims of OPEC. We need a fuel of some kind to continue civilisation as we know it.
