you (hopefully) know enough to know that all muslims are not the same. just like all christains are not the same.
hitler was a christian who preached hate and said it was his christian duuty to target jewish people. does that make you like him? does that make christianity a hateful religion?
of course not.
so why do you cast all is islam and muslims under the same shadow as a few individuals?
simply because you judge one set of people by one standard, and others by another. that is called 'hypocracy'.
the fact that you don't see this is tragic.
you know, i remember ages ago, when you first came on this site, and were thinking of joining the bnp. a nice person tried to convince you that was a mistake, and then the words of the actual members on here said that they 'weren't for you' because you had black members of your family, finally did convince you that it was indeed a mistake, as it showed what those people are really like.... remember that?
right wing nationalists right now target muslims, but in the recent past those same people targeted jewish people, black people, and homosexuals. so if you think their criticism of the 'muslim' other will be limited to muslims in the long run, you are sadly mistaken.
you are playing with fire, nimue. you need to rethink what it is you are supporting.

Snflartuz, maybe you misjudged my comment I wasn't thinking of joining the BNP and did mention that I have black and mixed race family members so wouldn't even consider them. I did say that I can understand why support for them is growing and believe me it is definitely growing. I agree with you that the far right that you mentioned was/are against homosexuals etc but so is Islam, the Pope, etc and I am totally against their views. This is why I think all religous books to be dangerous. How can any religion encourage people to be cruel and intolerant of another human being? They do though don't they this is why I am no longer a practicing Catholic and this is why I don't want to see the promotion of Islam knowing that they want the UK to become an Islamic country and believe me I have actually heard it said by a few muslims (not saying that they are all the same, that would be silly) directly to me. I think religion is the root of all evil and its not thanks to god etc (if you are a believer) but thanks to man.
Maybe if I had always lived in a part of Britain with hardly any muslim population I might be of your thinking but having lived in the heart of the muslims comminities know why I feel as I do.
