Rubbish

Everyone should write to their local councils under the FOI and demand that they be told exactly what % of their council tax is used for refuse collection,and then deduct that amount from their payments....i am buggered if i am paying twice for a reduced service.

Also where is go in france they have communial rubbish deposits called "Poubelles" where the rubbish for each street or apartment block is collected and then taken away (in Bourg-Saint-Maurices case twice a week) for this my council tax is £322 per year and this covers refuse collection,road works,cleaning,maintenece to public buildings and ammenities etc....here in the UK as a single person my council tax is nearly £1000 and for that i receive vurtually nothing for my money (mind you my local council managed to find £196,000 last year for car allowances for staff and councillors....what benifit is this to the tax payer...BUGGER ALL THATS what!).
