Tell the truth

it's true that the courage and self-sacrifice of the bomber crews is beyond doubt. It's also true that the RAF bomber campaign against German cities was brutal, misguided and ultimately ineffective. Try reading 'Bomber Command' by Max Hastings if you don't believe me. Try reading about the firestorm raids on Hamburg and Dresden as well.

Germany didn't lose the war because its civilians' morale broke, nor did it lose the war because its industry was destroyed. Neither happened.

If there is to be a memorial to Bomber Command aircrew then there should also be a memorial to all civilian victims of the war - on the same site.
