Utilities Are ripping us off.

Published: Monday July 28,2008 by RosieInLondon

When so many of us voted for Tony Blair in '97 we did not expect old fashioned renationalisation of the utilities and the railways, but we did expect a much greater degree of government control.

What we got was even greater freedom for them all to hike prices as and when they wanted. the Of???? controllers have virtually no real say in the prices these privatised companies charge.

We have been cheated by Blair/Brown and all NuLabour Ministers. I can't wait to see them go.

The problem is, this government are so hated that the Tories will probably get in on a land slide. Which means they too will assume a dictator like power.

So god help the average Englishman, unlike other parts of the UK we can not even get a small amount of protection from an English Assembly/parliament..
