Politicians unfit for purpose

I totally agree with TrevorD.
Why does our system allow such incompetents to run GB plc?
It is wrong, completely wrong, that a person who has done nothing with their life, save for a spell at polytech or uni, moves on to become a 'professional politician' and gets to run a department the size of ICI or BP- Without proper qualifications and without any experience at all.
The top civil servants behind them aren't much better.
What do they know about life on the street? I doubt they've ever walked that far down one as they much prefer the official limo. And these people are deciding the future of our country?
The whole system is a **** mess, made worse because of Ministers incompetence in their jobs. It needs a revamp. We need the like of Price- Waterhouse to run the Treasury not that clown,Darling. And to replace Brown we need a person with proven success out there running a huge conglomerate. Horses for courses is the name of the game and these wretched politicians could not run a race, let alone our economy, can they? Fire them denying them their obscene and bizarre pension privileges, as punishment for the damage they have done. It's criminal.
