HOW I DISAGREE!

I have been trying to lose weight for a long, long time and long ago concluded that the numbers were just plain wrong. The problem is I think they are too high! At 2,500 calories a day I put on weight rapidly, at 2,000 I put on weight. At 1800 I hold steady and below that I lose weight. I am male, 63, 5'11 tall and walk 6 miles a day.
