Democracy - European Union Style

It seems such a short time ago that Britain's security and survival were the main concern of government. Now, our government's major pre-occupation appears to be the deconstruction of the very foundation of the nation. Gordon Bown clearly values Europe far more highly than he values Britain. He certainly seeks approval from "Europeans" more than he seeks the approval of his own countryment.
Of course, the fault lies with those who elected politicians who see national pride as an entity to be despised and legislated out of existence. Gordon Brown is merely the symptom of this national sickness, not its cause. A healthy, perceptive and intelligent electorate would have expelled this interloper from the body politic long ago. Soon, Britons will be told by Europeans what they may or may not do in (what was once) their own country ....
