I was a welfare child

I was a child brought up on benefits from 1967 to 1983.If I am honest I hated it, the poverty, the two up two down slum house.I won`t go into details of how what and why,I just remeber how I vowed that my children are not going to live like this,and as a adult I am not going to live in poverty.Well after 24 years of working I got there no handouts no help just hard work.I am sorry if this annoys anyone but the benefit system needs to be overhauled.It can`t continue giving benefits to people to stay at home where is the money going to come from?.There has to be a limit of how long you can receive benefits capped to 12 months.No benefits to migrants unless the have paid into the system for 5 years,and child benefit for two children only.It has to be reformed becaue given our economy and the ever growing demand for more taxes it is completely impossible to handout benefits to people from cradle to grave.So go to work and buy your own bloody LCD tv
