Yes its about time that particular runaway gravy train was hauled in. Nobody minds paying for people with disabilities,or have suffered in accidents, that's what the safety net is for. But governments over the last 20 years have been encouraging the lazy and incompetent to go on the sick because it makes the unemployed figures look better. There are millions of them on the sick and of course they are not accountable, they don't have to look for jobs, its one big easy life at the taxpayers expense.
If it was me I would have every sick claimant re-apply,and be interviewed by a panel of three relevant doctors one of which must be a military doctor. If there was any back handing going on, like happens with Asian doctors signing there own kind on,then that doctor should be struck off for life and every one involved deported.
Hard? no- there's a depression on the way,and it is going to bring serious civil unrest. If things are not transparent and above board when it comes to dishing out the ever diminishing public purse then that will only fuel the fire.
