Reid: UK backs Rushdie knighthood

His books are unreadable rubbish and I have not heard one satisfactory reason why this ungrateful man was awarded this high honour.
The only explanation therefore is that it was a pure political statement. raising two fingers at the Muslem extremists.
I don't object to the gesture but I do object to (Sir) Rushdie.
