I enjoyed that piece of writing, but on a more serious note, once again, one has to ask, who is pulling the strings here?

The upshot of this is that reference to the secretive "leadership" organisation known as "Common Purpose" WAS in Gordon Brown's original security speech published on the Downing Street website on the 14th November. Then it disappeared. It was only accessible via a cached Google file, ... when I last looked, three days ago, it was still there. It has now been effectively over-written by the revised version, as the address is the same. However, the blogger quite sensibly copied the original speech on to his website anyway.
The speech had been removed and amended, before re-publishing, to remove reference to "Common Purpose". How scary is that? Why is mention of this organisation being kept away from us, the British people, who are paying for it through local, national, and EU taxes? Where is their accountability?
GORDON BROWN’S ORIGINAL SPEECH
“…..I am also announcing today a youth panel to advise the Government --- learning from youth projects like the Youth Debating Circles in Birmingham, Tag TV in Tower Hamlets, the 'Extreme News' educational website in Oldham and the Green Light Project's 'one stop' website in Dudley which all enable young people to debate and discuss issues of concern - as does the work of the Youth Parliament who have been running debates about the impact of terrorism on young people.
And we are sponsoring and encouraging a series of national and local mentoring programmes for young people:
· A Business In The Community Muslim mentoring programme linking 100 young people with professional mentors and role models;
· New leadership training sponsored by Common Purpose, the Karimia Institute, Crime Concern and Muslim Hands;

David Miliband has recently had his speeches doctored, Alan West is told to change his tune (or else??), and even Gordon Brown has had HIS speeches altered.
I, and a number of other people I know, would like to know exactly WHO is pulling the strings at Number 10.....
