With the collection of lying, spineless wimps available for election in the UK, this is the ultimate voting system - NEGATIVE voting.

In otherwords you vot AGAINST a candidate and the winner is the one with the fewest negative votes.

Sounds silly perhaps, but think about it - you'd get a much higher voter turnout and thus a more representative government.

Help me out as an American, how did Brown get there without the consent of the electorate?

He's another empty suit continuing the Blair nanny state which has rendered Britain defenseless against the scourge of Islamofascists.

You need another Thatcher, a tough, no nonsense PM that stops the riduculous flow of immigrants into Britain, pushes back and dismantles the nonsense of pc censorship.

It's sad to watch Britain's decline.

If there is a change needed to the voting system then it is this: Fixed term Parliaments and no leader can serve more than 2 terms.
The British public need protection from Prime Ministers who blatantly abuse the power of the position and become dictatorial and corrupt. We have seen it with Thatcher and Blair and now we are beginning to see the same with Brown.

Brown has not taken into account 'events' and the fact that governments are voted OUT.

Thatcher took 10 years to reform the Rates - result we have returned to the Rates.

Blair wanted the end of adversarial debate in Parliament - that was until he found it worked in his favour.

And so we now enter the familiar territory of long grass, enquiries, commissions and the like.
The title of the "project"? - Carry On Up the Constitution.
