Trust chief condemns new homes plan

The chairman of the National Trust has accused ministers of failing to consider the countryside in drawing up plans to build millions more homes across the UK.

GET THE HELL OUT AND SHUT UP

03.11.07, 2:47pm

Whilst you want migrants to work on your estates as cheap labour, that increases the population and with that dictates more homes are required. You can't have both ways, although you want to.

I say, either put pressure on the Government to restrict the migration numbers, but even if that was implemented now, more homes are required URGENTY.
In my opinion and on a personal note, if that means concreting over beautiful countryside, then so be it.

Why should 3 young boys be housing in Poor, Damp and OVERCRODED property, because you want to keep your wonderful views? Such lands can and should be used for housing, so thousands of children should not have to continue to suffer such horrendous conditions.
