OR BETTER STILL

11.12.07, 9:52pm

The guy goes to the Doctor, the doctor says " I'm afraid there's god and bad news "
" what's the bad news, he's asked "
" Well, I'm afraid you have got Aids "
The guy says, " what's the good news "
The Doctor says, " you have Alzheimer's, you will forget about the Aids soon "
BUT........ seriously, there seem to have been so many breakthroughs, we should be in front of this disease by now.
Back in the 70s, we were talking about magic bullets for cancers, can't we have some truth please, instead of all the false hopes.

It is nice to laugh and you certainly made me do that....

You reminded me of a joke I once heard......Being a person who likes a drink it was once overheard a couple talking...one had alzheimers the other parkinsons...the friend with parkinsons said at least I only spill mine...you forget where you left yours....

I ask you yet again does your brain know what your mouth is saying...?

My mother last year had a major stroke..strokes can happen at any time to anybody..even children have strokes.....

I have a friend she is only 52 years old...a young woman....she is now in a home with this dreadful disease.....any break through no matter how small gives us hope ...hope that one day this afliction will never touch another living soul.......

Please stop sending your doom and gloom all over the forum boards...lighten up...and chill out....

ALZHEIMER’S - THANK YOU TEAM !

11.12.07, 11:23am

I am delighted to read about this success for the SenseCam and the team that worked on it for me at Microsoft Reseach Cambridge. I invented the Sensecam for Microsoft in 1999 to help people with Alzheimer's and a family member with memory problems. The article is accurate. I have now left Microsoft to work on reducing global warming for the UK government and even more exciting projects.
Thank you, Express , for reporting this.

I HOPE THIS

11.12.07, 5:25am

becomes mainstream. There are millions of people crippled not remembering their own family. The medications are absolutely dangerous and send them into strokes. This is much worse than losing a memory.
