1 in 5 of all babies in UK born to foreign mothers

ONE-fifth of births in Britain last year were to foreign-born mothers. Government statistics yesterday revealed that around 150,000 women had their babies here.

THE DISPOSSESSION OF BRITAIN

Native Britons are being dispossessed of their land and soon will be a minority in their own country.
Immigration is not the solution to ageing population,immigrants will get older too and so the problem will be back again and again and again.
This is why the British National Party is getting more and more support and they are likely to gain at least 2 members in the GLA assembly.

"Vince" asks
"what harm are immigrants doing?"

To really know the answer to this a person would have needed to have experienced the stable society that Britain was in the 50s and 60s before waves of immigrants began to batter our shores. One could also go on at length about immigrant crime etc., but, for the sake of brevity, I shall use a quote from one of Vince's own posts headed "Paintbrush" in which he writes,
"The fact is, you just don't like them."

To a large extent, this is very true; immigrants are regarded...and don't tell me that this isn't true of practically anywhere in the world... as interlopers. As we haven't yet arrived at some brave new world where the population's likes, dislikes and tastes can be forcibly controlled through state intervention, the immigration of massive numbers of people from entirely different cultures to our own has led to the creation of a fractured society where resentment, suspicion and disaffection breeds. This is the harm that immigration has done.
Any trumpeting of the present economic benefits of immigration falls on many people's ears as the announcement of a short-term fix which could well create longer-term problems.
Government seems to have sold our birthright for a mess of potage.

Vince really must live in cloud-cuckoo land to come out with these comments, I personally worked for 50 years with just two weeks on the dole having been made redundant at 59. Ihad 3 jobs which took me to 65 after this, so who has paid for my pension? certainly not immigrants, just me! We are slowly being taken over, and how long will it be before the black flag of Islam is hoisted over downing street?

the people that leave this country emigrate to countires like the us, canada, and austriali, who not only let in far more immigrants than us (both in real terms (apart form australia), and certianly per capita (they are all at twice our rate). they are also more ehtically and 'racially' diverse places.

so much for the 'white flight' argument.

the chief enemy to this country is ignorance. and this forum is a veritable 'osama's hideout' of ignorance.

again, unemployment down, wages up, what harm are immigrants doing?

I suspect that the figure is higher than the one admitted by the government, given their history of lying through their newly straightened teeth. we now know that the most popular name given to baby boys is mohammad so it's pretty safe to assume that many of these immigrants come from the highly sofisticated and advanced countries of pakistan and bangladesh. Just how Vince thinks these families, many of them will have no English or work related skills, are going to add to the public coffers is beyond me. The only thing they are going to do is encourage white flight, hoover up as much welfare as possible, and vote NuLab.

The reason our population is ageing is that too many young British people are leaving the country because they cannot find decent jobs, with respectable pay and they cannot afford to set up home and have babies due to being priced-out of the market.

You see what we're up against with people like Vince who is presumably British and a loony leftie...who needs enemies when we can count on the likes of him to sell us out. They are so complacent and laid back and swallow everything their political masters want them to. Meanwhile, those of us in the real world are trying to shake such gullible fools out of their stupour. They totally miss the point and are an absolute bloody menace! God help us.

So is this 'bad' news in some way? people are ocming to this country becasue the economy is doing well. some are having children becasue they are young, and in the most productive years of their lives. Some will stay, some will go back home.
however, the express itself says

"The population is also ageing at a record rate, the report found. The estimated number of people aged 85 and over has reached 1.2 million, an increase of six per cent since 2001. By 2031, that figure is projected to hit 2.9 million."

“They have consistently underestimated the scale of immigration" says Sir Andrew Green. Here we go again - the Governments own statistics reveal more gloom for the true Brit.

The Britsh media need to keep the immigration issue in the spotlight. Just think of the implications of those statistics. And what a good photograph in the EXPRESS - shows how those two ladies (I assume!!!) are trying to integrate into the British way of life.
