A MAGISTRATE who refused to deal with a Muslim woman when she turned up at court wearing a full-face veil was today reprimanded.

It's extremely disturubing, hardly a day passes without incidence of the utter madness that is insiduously creeping into every aspect of our society. while I don't know the gentleman in question, as a magistrate he is obviously community spirited individual. It really does beggar belief that it is he who is being castigated. Clearly the defendant was using the wearing of the veil as a statement of confrontation with authority. Political and Social Lunancy.
Incidentally, there has been much newsreel footage from Pakistan recently, and interestingly not a veil in sight by the ladies of that country.

does no one pass these comments to mp's or do mp's not bother to read important issues what their constituents report about.
the magistrate was someone with balls in authority who put the uk system first. if a white english person went to court in lets say a maggie thatcher mask, would he be allowed to wear it at the trial, i dont think so. so wheres the difference. this is england if these people dont want to to live the english way of life, go some where else. dont go to germany or holland as these countries no longer put up with your hatred of their cultures. that muslim could have gone into that court as a wanted terrorist and blown the place up all because of a religious statement. this is the way to sharia law by letting them get away with their defiant stance against the english way of life.
and of course long time benefit claimant in very good health apart from her attitude, wheres the push to get her into full time employment - none - get the english disabled people into work so they can keep her on long time benefit, this country is the biggest sh.t hole in the world being mugged by all these immigrants, illegal immigrants, failed asylum seekers and asylum seekers. i wish i could win some money and leave this god forsaken sh.t hole

As an Ex Pat. born in London I am not surprised at events like this unfolding in Britain.Your political leaders have sold you out.If you haven't been completely brainwashed by the PC Brigade and your Liberal media, then It is time to stop complaining and vote BNP.What are you afraid of? being called racist and intolerant? every body knows that the uk is turning in to an islamic state and the law has been designed to protect muslims by labours pc brigade ,they have taken this country for granted and they cant be touched.just like travellers who flout the law and all the new migrants who abuse the system and get away with it .crime has increased ,and the welfare state has nearly collapsed,and what do labour do ,spend millions political bull s*** properganda and tell us we have never had it so good ,as they lie and cheat the taxpayer out of billions to pay these social scroungers,the country our grandfathers fought so bravely for has gone there is nothing we can do ,we have become the dustbin of europe ,i wonder how germany would have reacted if this woman had turned up in court wearing a full face veil ,or any of the other european countrys,they would not tollerate it .

The Magistrate was right to ask her to remove it and anyone who says different is an arse. She knew this would cause confrontation all the MUSLIMS KNOW they have the PC BRIGADE ON THEIR SIDE.

Who is on OUR SIDE, it's our Country could you see them bending over backwords for us.

Remember the teddy bear teacher. get real. The Magistrate should get an apology and the PC BRIGADE KICKED OUT

It would be interesting to know just how many employers in this country are prepared to accept workers who insist on wearing this garb.
I would guess that this woman and others like her are seriously limiting their chances of employment by adopting this mode of dress.
Why should the taxpayer have to support her and her likes? Her benefits should be stopped if it can be shown that she is making herself virtually unemployable by choosing to wear this costume.

And for security reasons we would ask anyone coming in to the bank witha motorbike helmet on to remove it. Usually people did this anyway knowing our rule.
Of course this rule should apply to anyone wearing anything that covers the face.
Muslims do wear this item to make a political statement. The magistrate should be pardoned and apologised to . Why do we pussyfoot around this problem and constantly appease the muslims. We are a Christian country living under Christian law and set down in the magna carta.
I know it has been said many times but muslims should really leave the UK if they do not like our laws and culture. We should not change to accomodate them. I am sure they would all change in Saudi Arabia for me if I was determined to walk out in a skimpy top and shorts! Can you imagine the "magistrate" or equivelant over there being reprimanded.
Ha Ha. I would be flogged!!!

Our government is an utter disgrace. What a dishonour to our war dead now that we have realised that they died in order to allow Muslims to gain such a strong foothold of this country and it's government.

It is time for the people of this country to revolt against the government over the appeasment of Muslims. and to make a stand against the destruction of our laws, history, and traditions. Enough is enough.

Muslims have lived in this country for decades and the Niqab was not worn by the women in the past, so why therefore are they wearing it now? I will tell you why. It is being worn as a political statement and to intimidate us. Good god what is the point of wearing a niqab in a country such as Britain?. There are no sand storms here, plus it is as outdated item as much as Sharia law.

The government should ban the Niqab and soon and anyone caught wearing it heavily fined. It has no place in modern day Britain.

There must be a revolt soon as the longer we leave it the worse it will become. There does not need to be violence but for the people who have had enough to amass and take their grievances to Downing Street. I am sure if organised properly thousands will attend. In fact I hear what the people are saying unfortunately the government do not.

He fell into her trap, hook, line and sinker. She did this purely as a provocation and the Magistrate fell for it. Instead of refusing to continue, he should have ordered her to remove the veil and if she still persisted in her stubbornness, he should have charged her with contempt of court. She should have been the one removed from court, not the Magistrate.

The bench is there to be respected, that's why you do a court bow when entering or leaving the court room.

the magistrate had every right to refuse. if it was a yob standing in a balaclava could he leave it on DONT THINK SO so what is the difference the court clerks and the police would be telling him to taking it off. How could they be sure the person in the dock is the same one that commited the offence. the next thing we know is the person taking us to the human rights courts for wrongfull arrest, there is a lot more that could have gone wrong here so in my opinion she was right to refuse.
