I AGREE WITH THE EXPRESS
06.04.08, 8:04am
This country is a mess, I live on the outskirts of a very small town, we have had enough of the "hoodies", a few years ago they used to wander up and down our lane smashing all our cars, one of whom went on to kill someday in a town further on from here. What kind of people are these youngsters and what are they going to grow into, something is seriously wrong here.
Only last week my husband broke up a fight of school girls around the age of 14, whilst one was on the floor he spotted that she had a swiss army knife in her hand, they were on their way home from school so she must hav taken the knife to school, the people who think its offensive to ban the hoodies do they not think its offensive to have to live like this and what about our kids how safe do you think they will be when they are our age!!!
Ban the hoodies!! Society needs to change or more of us will be leaving this country

A VERY GOOD HOOD TO KEEP ME WARM AND DRY
01.04.08, 6:48am
A kind lady in my local charity shop presented me with a bright red hooded top yesterday.
I'll tell you what I am going to do: I will wear that hoodie every day, all day and I might even wear it in bed!!
Can anyone imagine Gordon (the buffoon) Brown wearing a hoodie? Ha! Ha! He would resemble a deadly mixture of Klu Klux Klan and the Mafia rolled into one.
No, Brown prefers to wear an ill-fitting, outdated British suit - to match his hopeless, outdated ideas.
Get a life Brown - get a hoodie!!

WITHIN REASON..
31.03.08, 2:24pm
Its fine to ask that people remove their hoods when they enter a supermarket, shopping center, pub or place of business or generally anywhere indoors because your "indoors".
If a bloke walked into a supermarket with their top off (like a lot of people do for some reason), you would be told to put a shirt on or get out. Which is understandable.
Why not the same for hoods? I used to work on a deli in safeway in Newcastle, and we had a regular customer who would ALWAYS wear shades (even in mid winter) and it bugged me so much because I couldnt see where he was looking.
If a person walked upto the counter in a hood, it would just peave me off and get my back up.
BUT!!!!!!!!!
You cant ban (or ask) a person from wearing a hood outside. Even if it is mid-summer and you think "OMG you must be warm in there" and they look moronic.
Outside is outside and aslong as you're not harming anyone, you can do as you please.
But if its inside, then fine! Its your shop, or business and ask people not to wear hoods if you want to!

WHAT?
31.03.08, 1:32pm
I am 73 years old and like wearing a hooded jacket when I'm out and about - is that piece of freedom of choice to be denied me because New Labour is incapable of distinguish between me and a youngster? Blanket bans are all these idiots can manage. Let them get to grips with the basic causes of youth discontent-but that would be beyond them, of course, it would mean far too much hard work.

BAN THE HOOD.
31.03.08, 3:01am
Full face crash helmets have to be removed when entering petrol station cash desk, so why not remove hoods when entering shopping malls and shops, so faces can be identified on CTV, why would anyone need to wear hoods indoors unless these srcrotes are doing it to intimidate the publick, are they frightened of catching cold poor little mites, if the hoods were to be banned, the rule would have to be applied to burkurs, which if that rule didn't apply to burkurs it would be deffinately impossible to enforce to hood headwear, otherwise it would be discrimination against hoods, if BURKURS were banned then there would be RIOTS involving MUSLIMS! so if this happened then hood wearers would expect the same exuse to riot, WHATS GOOD FOR ONE IS GOOD FOR ANOTHER, this is not in support of hoods, its just to point out no one has insisted on the removal of BURKURS, are they frightened of upseting the sensibilities of muslims, does anyone remember the other day three criminal dressed in BURKURS robbing a shop,I BET THEY WERE'NT MUSLIMS just some one thinking the police won,'t bother pursuing this thinking we're muslims. JUST A THOUGHT.

BRAVO SUNDAY EXPRESS
31.03.08, 1:36am
Speaking as a CCTV operator in a Hertfordshire market town, I fully support the Sunday Express's campaign. I would give anything for a full facial from some of the boys I spend my time following around the town centre. We need to roll back the hoods and expose the raw, angry heads underneath. We have to see the chaps' eyes.

PATHETIC SCAREMONGERING
31.03.08, 12:07am
This has got to be up their with the worst articles i have ever read. How this even made into any paper let alone the front page is a complete mystery to me.
It is just scaremongering, trying to scare the average joe into submission, and force stereotypes.
Ban the hood? Well let's ban everything that covers your face shall we, hats, scarves BURQAS?????
i thought not.
Just pathetic, get it sorted.

POOR PADDINGTON BEAR.
30.03.08, 11:15pm
Poor old Paddington, he won't be able to wear his duffle coat any more. Ban hoodies indeed, it the long history of stupid ideas this has to rate in the top ten.
If lazy journalists are going to call young (and not so young) people who wear hooded tops 'hoodies' can we look forward to office workers being called 'suities' and builders being called 'hard-hatties'?

EH?
30.03.08, 10:19pm
To be frank, groups of kids wearing hoodies make me weary and nervous, true. Especially when they are looking menacingly at passers by for no apparent reason. But, Ban the hood...for good? So what should I do with the 7 or so hoodies I own?? So, I wear a hoodie...big deal, add that to the fact I'm a hard working dad, a respected member of my community and (gasp) a freemason, what does wearing a hoodie make me? The anti christ? And more importantly what does it mean?...FA. What we need is more real policing, more family values, more parents being actual real parents to their kids and less drastic 'pythonesque' measures to tackle crime.
There, thats my rant for the night, I'm off to make myself a cuppa. Good night and sleep tight.

BAN THE HOOD
30.03.08, 10:09pm
How can you ban a piece of clothing, dose that mean any type of clothing used to hide features should be banned.
The answer to the high crime rates is easy, more police on the streets, doing thier jobs .
If thejudges gave out sentence which would deter crime, and a goverment that would tear up the human rights act, and deport crimanals and illegals back to there own countries, without lengthy appeals.
and the death penalty for all murders, and of coarse we should have a national data base of every ones DNA and finger prints.
