I know I'm stating the bleedin' obvious here, but, if we wanted absolute proof that these hogs are in it for their own gain, this must make it obvious to even the most feeble minded.
Why does one man have so much power? Simple - it's only because the underlings allow him to, and they only allow him to, because they're all scared s***less, they'll lose their own jobs.
Hardlly a single one of them gives a toss about anyone but themselves, and how they can screw even more expenses.

Judging the depth of feeling in the country right now these clowns days are numbered, but reader Blam's right, it's just another diversionary tactic conjured up to get our eyes off the ball. The biggest issue that's gonna have the most profound effect on this country is being dealt with behind the scenes, and that's the European issue. We've got better options than the three main parties come the elections, lets use them.

Yes this is a diversionary tactic to pull the media attention away from bigger issues.
In a few months our politicians will be highly paid EU Muppets or is that Puppets, either way they will have thier strings pulled by the new European goverment when we are ruled totaly from Brussels by a undemocratict and un elected goverment.
There are local elections coming up make your vote count, give Gord Mugabe Broon and co a signal of what is to come in the next general election

Ed Milliband said 'some lose out' , yes but they make damn sure it never effects them!

Its bloody disgraceful, taking from the poor to give to the poor, diabolical.

My daughter is just trying to buy her first house, will have to take on a huge mortgage with her partner but earns less than £15,000 the last thing she needs is to be paying double the tax.

Its a pity MP's don't consider the poor children when they are ripping the taxpayer of with their unearned expenses.

Peter_Pan is right of course but don't forget that these Labour MPs are also frightened that they might loose their nice little cushy billets with thousands of pounds of expenses allowances and other concessions. The choice for the voter at the next election gets shorter and shorter.

A TAX BASED BUREAUCRACY

Tax is Labour's habit of a lifetime. The LibDems are much worse and the Tories used to be better. Perhaps with a change in leadership things could improve if the Conservatives are elected. They will need new leadership and some clear blue water if they are to be any different. The Tory slogan was NEW LABOUR, NEW DANGER...trouble is we now have NEW TORY, NEW DANGER with some of the things we hear from Cameron.

Norman Lamont seems to have a realistic view of this man-made climate change myth now peddled by all three 'Silly' parties. Perhaps Norman Could lead us back to sanity.

The Express really would do well to publish Norman Lamont's excellent article: The REAL inconvenient truth: Zealotry over global warming could damage our Earth far more than climate change. It's a REAL WINNER for newpapers and politicians alike. Once the silent majority stands up, this government die (don't be caught up in it Cameron - let the wise Norman take over).

There is a distinct smell of an orchestrated issue here deliberately made to make Labour look initially bad and then do a "U" turn in favour of the less well off.
