ARTICLE SUMMARY

Only prison will deter the thuggery on our streets

THE big lie at the heart of the Government’s law and order policy is the idea that so-called “alternatives to custody” are more likely than prison to prevent reoffending.

LABOUR WILL NEVER CHANGE LAWLESS-AND-DISORDER POLICY

30.04.08, 1:13pm

New Labour under glitzy Blair and, now, dour Gordon duped an entire nation with tough talk regarding law and order. Sadly, we have reaped what we have sown because of our own gullibility. Our streets, hell, the nation is amok with thuggish yobs and parasites having no fear of punishment for criminal acts, whether it is maiming, murdering or other criminal activities, of their choosing.
How many more innocent law abiding citizens have to be murdered or maimed before Labour takes “thuggery” of all sorts seriously? Labour’s response is always the same; the spouting self-serving and self-righteous platitudes to the law-abiding citizens, whilst mollycoddling those criminal elements, which erode society.

ONLY PRISON WILL DETER THE THUGGERY ON OUR STREETS.

Ahhh so. demolish prisons in UK. Build secure
compounds in Darfor or such like. Some impoverished third world country, there are enough of them. Allow this same country to guard the inmates, help them out no end, along with the British tax payer !
Remember Australia. !
