NO COVER UP PLEASE ON THIS MAN'S LIFE

12.06.08, 1:05am

this was no 'acident'

this was purely and simply

GROSS NEGLIGENCE

by someone who should be sacked and all his team or her team too for allowing it to happen, as no ONE person makes such a decision to allow ammunition on an exercise to be able to KILL.

No cover ups please
No excuses, there are NONE
No blame to others

ACCEPT IT AND EXPLAIN AND NEVER EVER LET THIS TRAVESTY HAPPEN AGAIN

unless you do this, it will happen again.

GOD FORBID

My heartfelt sympathy goes to his loved ones as he gave up a day off to go to work and die needlessly.

This has to be investigated publicly and the outcome known to all no matter what it is. No sweeping anything under the carpet.

AND WHOEVER AND WHATEVER DEPT.

HANG YOUR HEADS IN SHAME.

a mistake? NO
an error? NO
poor judgement YES THAT HE WENT INAT ALL ON HIS DAY OFF PERHAPS but then it would have been another officer dead now.

WHO PULLED THE TRIGGER
WHO AIMED
WHO FIRED
WHO GAVE PERMISSION
WHO KNEW THE AMMUNITION WAS 'LIVE'

WHO

WHO

WHO

MUST NOW BE SACKED.!!!! FAST.

HEADS HAVE TO ROLL FOR THIS

12.06.08, 12:42am

Who had the bright idea of using live rounds in an exercise? The Army don't even do that except with special units under extemely strict control. I have never been happy with the way they play and shoot each other with Tasers. One day, one of them will have the Taser spark at the wrong moment during the cardiac firing cycle, combined with a previously unknown dodgy ticker and end up in cardiac arrest.

Two electrodes only have to be in the correct axis of the myocardium to cause an arrest.

OK, I accept that accidents may happen in real life situations where firearms are deployed but this must never happen on an exercise.
