MAGGIE.. YOU ARE CORRECT , AS FAR AS I CAN TELL.

15.07.08, 10:40pm

I am lucky enough to have been accepted by my Slovakian family and freinds, and when i am invited to Forest Parties , other Slovak Traditional Culture get togethers, my Slovak Friends and family listen with mouths wide open, and dismay at to what England has become and is going through, from the cost of living to the signs of a " totalitarian" State to which we have become, dreams of a better life are shattered, whispers of a Country which has become a thirld world superstate become reallity hits home. i do not know if i am the bringer of good news for my Slovakian Freinds or the bringer of bad news to dreams of a promised land.

Either way, it should not be like this.

SELF PRESERVATION, IS ONE REASON GOOD PEOPLE ARE LEAVING THERE BELOVED HOMELAND.

15.07.08, 7:56pm

The final straw for my family and myself, was the abuse and intimidation led to a gun being held to my wifes head .. this was after many calls to the local plod who, could not, would not attend ,,

So after the red mist had cleared and i gave two of the Yoofs what they were obviously asking for..

Yes , you guessed it, i was taken to the local nick and given a stern talikng to..

The youth who pointed the replica gun at my wife and wrecked our lives..

They signed an anti behavioral contract to not approach my family again,, from that rather short, shock treatment, it escalated into daily warfare.

My families welfare was more important than dishing out retribution to the toerags who in the yes of the local authority deserve more attention and understanding than my well being or that of my tax paying family.

PS: Two years previous to that, my 72 year old mother was mugged, and had two fingers broken when she could not take off her wedding rings quick enough for the scum that knocjed her to the ground, local plod ,, apparently, because my Mother had the audacity to make her way back home and not contact the Police from the point of the Mugging, it became a second priority.

No problems, we found out who carried out, the only information which was not passed to the Police was the Scum muggers Birth certificates and Their eating habits.

Yep. you probably guessed already, i was given afree lift to the local Station and informed that if anything was to happen to the Scum who i have identified i would be arrested and charged.

There comes a time when all some people want is a life without intimidation, and to know that when you are beat you are beat.

One thing this Goverment and its system will not or just can not grasp "appeasement is the worst form of cowardice" fighting the yobs would be a dam sight more easy, if you did not have to fight the system at the same time, while trying to keep yourself and your family safe from harm and intimidation from yobs and Labour

TIME TO GO CAP IN HAND TO THE EUROPEAN UNION MAYBE ..

15.07.08, 7:31pm

If Europe are doing so well , and the Euro is giving the £ a good sound thrashing, maybe it would be prudent to beg them not too impose any fines on the UK at the moment ,(for any reason ) something like a non fine payment holiday) just untill we get back on track, if only for the sake of the investors, and anyone else who is paramount in keeping the Country solvent, i am under no illusion that it is not that simple .
But surely we have been rather generous to the EU with our payments from the public purse, and our Goverment have rolled over and carried out all their wishes good and bad without so much as a whimper, a bit of help maybe where its due , i am sure would put the EU in a much better light than the dark deep hole of suspicion it is currently in.

Just one condition should accompany any forthcoming loan of our own money, do not let the current Goverment anywhere near the cash, you can be sure it will end up wasted and pilfered before it reaches the people to whom it was intended,

Just wishfull thinking on my gullible part, i can only guess that when the chips are really down for the UK that the reverse will happen, and just when we need the help most, The UK will have more EU misery piled upon its shores

REUBEN ON UK WAFFLE

15.07.08, 7:18pm

Agree 100%

I quit quite a time back; can't think of any reason to go back.
My sunrise is probably as pleasing as his sunset and more importantly, we both look forward to it.

It may be sad, but for many people and for many different reasons, the UK no longer has any appeal.

I don't know where to lay the blame for the decline of the 'homeland'.
I do not believe it is the fault of any particular Government, nor of the fledgeling and frequently misguided EU.
I am inclined to think of past Empires.

That the rich get richer and the poor get poorer is as true now as it always was.
Technology has of course ensured that the rich get richer a bloody sight easier than ever before, and the poor, having been given 'cake', are only to happy to go along with it!

Who is prepared to upset the apple cart?

SIMPLE MATHS

15.07.08, 5:24pm

I somtimes wonder what sort of people run this country. If fuel prices go up then as most of our food, fuel, and clothing is transported by road then the extra cost is past to the consumer. I think any school child could work that out, so why can,t this government? I did six weeks ago

WHO IS REALLY TO BLAME....

15.07.08, 5:02pm

So now the chickens have come home to roost everyone is looking where to lay the blame. Well the blame lies squarely with the morons who believed all the bull**** from phony Tony and his bunch of talentless chancers and kept voting them in. Admittedly they were also helped by the banana republicanesque 'Postal Vote'.

INFLATION CAUSED BY NEW DEBT MONEY AND RISING ENERGY PRICES

15.07.08, 4:39pm

Banks should only be able to lend what is saved on deposit with them, plus a bit extra to allow for economic and population growth. The fact that they can create large amounts of new money through debt causes boom and bust cycles, higher taxation, and devalues existing money through inflation. It is an unjust system which makes the majority poorer. This leads to higher taxation, and more resources like oil and gas have to be used in the economy so the debt can be paid back. We have also reached the point where easy to extract oil and gas is declining and not able to meet growing world demand. There is still plenty of oil out there but it is harder to get at.

THIS PROBLEM WTH THE ECONOMY IS CAUSED BY THE REDS!

15.07.08, 4:08pm

With banks crashing all over the place, the most two corrupt and evil NATIONS of the world are the reason we in the West are suffering.
Our western countries just lap dogs to RUSSIA and China
There seems to be no doubt that we are now under control Of the mighty REDS.
I ask myself who on earth would allow the Chinese to host the Olympic games with there record on Human rights,I still remember when their swimmers were caught as drugs cheats, what happened nothing. They have persecuted the people of TIBET and are instrumental in the slaughter of the people of Darfour by the Criminal SUDAN government who China has equipped with weapons broken the arms embargo on many occasions and even is training the Pilots to slaughter these decent poor people.
ASK YOUSELF WHY 70% OF all Chinas oil comes from Sudan.
THEY ARE ALSO FLYING RUSSIAN helicopter.
China could bankrupt AMERICA IN ONE WEEK that is why they are pretty quiet about this criminal slaughter.
Russians can now radiate people in our country and tell us to sod off.
The WEST APPEARS WEAK against these axis of evil twins.
NO WONDER THESE TWO DID NOT WANT TO PUT SANCTIONS AGAINST MUGABEE.
China should be thrown out of the Olympics. Also an investigation should be made into Abramovitch as to the true source of his wealth and an Embargo should be put on Chelsea football club

FEARS FOR BRITISH ECONOMY AS INFLATION SOARS TO 11-YEAR HIGH OF 3.8%

15.07.08, 4:06pm

Three point eight percent My Arse ! This Government MUST be fiddling the figures.

The REAL rate of Inflation - (You know - the inflation that affects those of us who are NOT on the Gravy Train with our snouts in the trough) is more like 11%.

Oh ! Roll on Election 2010 so that we can elect a Proper Government who will "Bat for Britain and the true interests of the British People".

GONE GARDENING

15.07.08, 1:34pm

"Sir Desmond" King, whose remit is to keep inflation below 2% says there's nothing he can do.
So, he and his colleagues are going on gardening leave effective immediately?
If the BoE can't do anything, except where it is really easy, why keep them on the payroll. You can employ any economics graduate to monitor the economic data (which cannot be managed, apparently) and produce some pretty charts - you don't need any decision makers.
Anyone fool can manage in good times, as many CEO can vouch for when they have been drawing massive bonuses and stock options.
Only good CEOs can manage well in difficult times and "Oor Gordy" McBroon should be reminded of that when he claims great economic management skills and prudent chancellorship.
What a Dud! Plagiarising from a former Aussie PM, he is all tip and no iceberg.
King is a worthless, expensive luxury who should be dispensed with forthwith - just look at and listen to the guy - would you employ him to mow your lawn?

THANK YOU VERY MUCH CHANCELLOR BROWN

15.07.08, 1:07pm

Ten years of Brown and Blair's 'tax and spend' during the sunny times has left us right up the creek with nothing left for rainy days like today.

Ah well, at least we have world class health care and education, plenty of prison places, fantastic roads to drive on and all the helicopters and body armour our forces could ask for.

Oh wait........

2010 can't come soon enough..
