The Long Road Festival 2024 has just confirmed the next artist hitting the main stage as headliner this summer: Don McLean.
Yes, the man and myth behind American Pie, and one of Taylor Swift's biggest fans.
He'll be joining Russell Dickerson as a headliner, as well as some other massive artists across the weekend event.
The incredible country, Americana and Roots festival will once again be hitting Leicestershire this year at the Stanford Hall at the end of August.
The Long Road Festival 2024, which is taking place from August 23-25, will have Don McLean and Russell Dickerson joined by some incredible artists, including American Aquarium, Brittney Spencer, Chapel Hart, The Red Clay Strays and many more.
Speaking about making his way back across the pond, the American star said: "I am delighted to return to England to perform at The Long Road Festival. Since I have decided to stop doing bus tours of distant destinations, I will still return for special performances. I love England and look forward to seeing my audience again”
Pokey Lafarge, who is also attending, added: "Ah, sunny England… in August… I can’t wait! I’m grateful and excited to be playing The Long Road Festival and taking the good people to Rhumba Country for an hour or so."
