OLD-FASHIONED but touching tale of love and loss distinguished by some fine performances from a stellar cast that includes Shirley MacLaine, Christopher Plummer and Pete Postlethwaite.

MacLaine is a recent widow whose life is turned upside down by a phone call from Belfast alerting her to the discovery of a ring that once belonged to her.

The story of the ring takes us back to the war years and all the guilty secrets and regret that lie buried deep in her heart.
