Lettuce is a vegetable that can tend to go bad fast if not stored properly. Here's a way to ensure it's fresh for weeks.
The main threats to your bagged lettuce going bad fast are moisture and warm temperatures, so ensure it is stored in a consistently dry and cool place.
Also faced with this problem, a content creator took to TikTok to show people what she does to ensure her lettuce stays fresh for up to a month.
“Want to keep your lettuce fresh for up to a month? Try this,” she said in a video.
First, wash the lettuce thoroughly. Next, cut the end and wash all the leaves thoroughly.
“Then dry all the leaves well with a towel. Once your lettuce leaves are dry, you can chop them up and place them in a large mason jar.

“Next dampen a cloth or towel and place it at the top of the jar.”
You can seal your jar and place it in the fridge and enjoy your lettuce for up to a month, according to the woman.
Some people in the comment section of the video were grateful for the hack, while other individuals shared some ideas of their own.
“If you have limp lettuce soak in sugar and water it comes back crisp,” one said.

For another lettuce storage tip, try the tin foil method which is reportedly also effective in keeping lettuce fresh for up to a month.
Similarly to how celery is best kept, you want to roll lettuce in the foil and scrunch both ends.
