As rumours swirl that Meghan Markle could be securing a high-profile deal with Dior, a resurfaced clip in which she plays a character modelling perfume has gone viral. The Duchess of Sussex played fashion model Kirsten in the 2015 low-budget Hungarian-British gang thriller called Anti-Social.

Sources have suggested Meghan may be in talks to become a face of the iconic company, alongside global stars such as Rihanna and Jennifer Lawrence.

Anti-Social, a "coming of age" thriller about gang warfare, was shown at just 40 screens when it was released in the UK in 2015, and saw Meghan play fashion model Kirsten, who dates graffiti-artist Dee, played by Greg Sulkin.

In the film, Dee's brother Marcus, played by Josh Myers, is a smash-and-grab diamond thief who is involved in a number of daredevil armed robberies, before igniting a gang war just as Dee and Kirsten are trying to achieve a better life.

The film was not well-received, landing a 25 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes and being slammed with a broadside of one and two-star reviews after hitting screens.

Meghan is reportedly on the verge of signing a mega deal with Dior as part of a major personal "rebrand".

According to a top source in Beverly Hills, Meghan is "all anyone is talking about", reported the Sun.

Recent moves by Prince Harry have been claimed to not only further suggest a deal is in the works, but that he might also be a part of them.

The Duke of Sussex's decision to wear a Christian Dior suit for his father's Coronation was viewed by some as a 'plug' for his wife, as well as a possible bid for work himself.

He also wore $1,000 Dior "Bee" shirts during recent appearances at the High Court in London, and Dior clothing to the UN last year.

Meanwhile Meghan wore Dior when she attended the National Service of Thanksgiving at St. Paul’s Cathedral, London, to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee last June.

PR expert Mark Borkowski told the Daily Mail: "It shows that they have great power in fashion and they are wanted by fashion houses. It is easier to be a clothes horse than an issues warrior."

He added: "It could be a case of poking the bear (to get a deal) or I suspect that is something that has been running for a while in terms of a negotiation and it now manifests itself into something.

"It's no coincidence that they are veering towards fashion. They are more comfortable in this world.

"Style over substance. It does seem to be a series of weird coincidences: Harry wears a Dior suit at the coronation and Dior at the hacking case and now a deal may be in the offing."

Spotify recently announced it would not be renewing Meghan's "Archetypes" podcast for a second series.

The podcast, which sought to pick apart stereotypes about women, had soared to the top of the charts, but had left a middling impression on critics, who said it failed to reach meaningful depth on the subjects it explored.
